We are a group of curious and enthusiastic people, interested in creating better environment inside and outside for us and also for those, interested in the same. As a group having an experience of running a Yoga School called Rishikesh Yog Peeth in India, since 2005 with more than hundred Yoga Teacher Training courses and thousands of participants from all over the world. In this experiential journey, We have reached a point where the application of Yoga in mundane life is not just the necessity but the next step. Teaching yoga just inside the Yoga hall bores us now and the idea is to take Yoga out of the Yoga hall and put it all over, in each and every sphere of life.
how it started?
it always starts with a question
After reaching a particular point in life, there is a tendency to ask a question "What Next?" I think Rishikesh Yog Peeth has reached to it, where this question is progressively prominent. So the answer for Rishikesh Yog Peeth is, either to transform itself and go to the next level as Abhayaranya (fearless self expression) or just execute the same old Yoga Teacher Training courses and suppress the innate creativity and evolution. This is the time to make decision and come out of the comfort zone created in past 10 years and be vulnerable. Is vulnerability a sign of an evolutionary process?
Before Rishikesh Yogpeeth
After having a lot of financial and emotional struggle, two childhood friends came together. Behind this union, the idea was to get the support of each other to achieve success in life. Digamber and I worked hard, tried various modules and methods of different business with similar results (failure): those days we use to ask ourselves whether or not, we are born to exhibit failure as a phenomenon? Without being aware of the gains of those days and variety of experiences as building blocks of any concept, personality or Institution. Whatever we are today is due to, what we have experienced in our past and the way we went on responding to those experiences.
First and the Most Important step
After sometime we realized that we couldn't get the support of each other because both of us were empty and powerless. So instead of trying to get the support of each other, we started supporting each other. This was the only option left and gradually success started. Without knowing any thing about Yoga, we went on practicing it, not as Asana, Pranayama or Meditation rather as a process of unification of two personalities. Loopholes of mine were filled by Digamber's abilities and vice versa. It appeared that we are born to complete each other, as the pieces of a puzzle.
Initiation of Self-confidence
The instability of Yoga Teachers working with us with their ideas to teach abroad led me to hold the fort and stabilize Rishikesh Yog Peeth. Teaching taught me how to learn and vice-versa. Digamber managed the School with the help of Vishal who joined us in 2006 with refreshing attitude. He took the responsibilities quite nicely allowing Digamber to concentrate on management and expansion. It was just the sprout of our abilities and self-confidence.
When it happens, it just happens.
Things started happening, and finally we saw the glimpse of success with a regular inflow of 4 to 6 participants for each course throughout the year. We were enjoying our financial independence and skills within the group to complement each other. It seemed that we found the balance to walk ahead.
Beginning of the Team
It appeared that we think and it manifest. Our needs were arranged so quickly and smoothly. Rishikesh Yog Peeth collaborated with Mr. Dhiraj Sharma for Promotional activities. Affect of this, first time ever in the month of February 2010, we broke the barrier of Ten and the number of participants reached Eighteen. In April, it was Twenty four and since then it's an ever-increasing phenomenon. Thanks to the Team and those who invented Internet. Regular financial flow and the help of few friends and family members allowed us to buy a piece of land. The idea was to develop an infrastructure to run the biggest Yoga TTC in Rishikesh. Construction started, we were so happy with this so-called success and its utmost feeling.
Successful but not Satisfied
We were beyond our expectations, the idea about the construction grew bigger, days were passing with a regular number of participants reached up to Fifty. But slowly and gradually satisfaction started to fade away: we were successful, many people were trying to follow the same footsteps in Rishikesh, new Schools with the concept of Yoga teacher training courses were opening almost every week but we were thinking of something else, not even aware of what, but surely no Yoga TTC anymore. At this crucial junction of time, Harsh entered into the Team Rishikesh Yog Peeth as a new member.
An Idea for Success and Satisfaction
Finally the seed of manifesting a self-sustained Yoga village came from nowhere and became stronger and clearer by the day. The idea in itself was powerful enough for us to gain our satisfaction back. We were back to the curiosity and enthusiasm in a meaningful manner. It appeared that, we are just the Instruments of Existence with only two options either we allow the existence to flow through us or we won't: allowing the flow makes life an ever happening festivity, not allowing makes it a struggle.
We found the Path of Yoga
These years of experience taught us that our interest is not to run the biggest Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India rather we are more interested in Applied Yoga or Living Yoga, a practice of life and its activities. Developed infrastructure of Rishikesh Yog Peeth for Yoga TTC will be used as Abhayaranya, a Yoga village/Research center on Applied Yoga. We are changing our direction exactly at the time when the number of participants in Yoga TTC at Rishikesh Yog Peeth reaches to hundred participants per month and with pre-registrations up to six months. This is fantastic; nature gives us things heavily, only when we are not interested in those things anymore. Is this an exam or a result, I don't know?
